Elon Musk: Below $200 Billion
At its peak of $320.3 billion in November 2021, Elon Musk's net worth soared over Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos to become the richest person in the world.
As Tesla's (TSLA) stock hit a 52-week-low in early morning trading, Musk's fortune dipped below to $194.8 billion on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022 due to his 15% stake in the company, according to Forbes.
Stock investors have long feared the executive's preoccupation with Twitter (TWTR), now hesitant at a time when the electric vehicle heightens production while facing emerging competition. Many are questioning his purchase.
Since acquiring Twitter, Musk has made few tweets on Tesla and rather used the platform to announce his $8 per month subscription for blue tick verification.
Musk's net worth is still roughly $40 billion more than the LVMH owner Bernard Arnault, the second richest person.
